Deliverability Engineer, Core Sending

About the role

As a Deliverability Engineer on the Core Sending squad, you will own the reliability and reputation of Resend’s high‑volume email platform. You will work remotely with a distributed team to ensure transactional and marketing emails reach inboxes worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain core components that handle email sending at scale.
• Monitor and improve IP and domain reputation, authentication, bounces, complaints, and suppressions.
• Develop metrics, policies, runbooks, dashboards, and automated systems for deliverability.
• Diagnose provider‑specific delivery issues and implement remediation strategies.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, support, and customer‑facing teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience with email deliverability, reputation management, and high‑volume mail operations.
• Deep understanding of IP/domain reputation, authentication protocols, warm‑up processes, and mailbox provider behavior.
• Ability to translate ambiguous deliverability challenges into concrete metrics and actionable policies.
• Strong communication skills, low ego, high ownership, and sound judgment.
