Lead Engineer Technical Office

About the role

The Lead Engineer Technical Office will drive non‑routine engineering, planning and cost‑scheduling activities for the Yanacocha Water Treatment Plant project in Peru. You will work closely with stakeholders to analyse schedules, manage risks, monitor costs and ensure seamless execution of the two large acid water treatment plants.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure construction objectives are met within established deadlines and standards.
• Coordinate weekly hour reports across all departments and integrate them into the overall project schedule.
• Analyse project schedules, identify critical activities and resolve problem areas.
• Prepare and review progress payment requests and coordinate with Finance & Accounting.
• Develop and maintain CBP budgets according to prescribed standards.
• Perform cost estimations using historical data, statistical analysis and quantity comparisons.
• Lead workshops, interviews and information‑gathering sessions to align weekly reports.
• Conduct risk quantification activities as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in engineering planning, cost scheduling and project control.
• Strong ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and integrate reporting data.
• Experience reviewing budgets, payment requests and financial documentation.
• Capability to lead workshops and facilitate stakeholder communication.
• Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation techniques.
