Process Optimization Engineer

About the role

This position supports the deployment of AI‑powered industrial software across manufacturing sites in the Americas. The role is highly customer‑facing, bridging plant operations, automation, maintenance, and IT/OT teams with internal engineering specialists to ensure successful software implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute on‑site implementation, commissioning, testing, and start‑up activities at customer plants.
• Validate industrial connectivity, communications, signals, and data availability required for software deployment.
• Support configuration reviews, operational validation, and implementation of optimization solutions.
• Act as technical liaison between plant operations and internal Engineering, Data Science, and Project Delivery teams.
• Gather operational requirements, identify constraints, and translate plant needs into actionable plans.
• Coordinate functional and technical testing with automation, maintenance, IT/OT, and engineering teams.
• Document progress, configuration changes, technical issues, and project milestones.
• Collect operational data and feedback to support troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Assist Project Managers in risk management and delivery coordination.
• Provide customer training and facilitate knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• Degree (or equivalent) in Industrial, Automation, Mechanical, Chemical, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
• 3+ years delivering industrial technology, automation, commissioning, start‑up, or implementation projects in manufacturing environments.
• Hands‑on experience working on industrial plant sites throughout project phases.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation, control systems, instrumentation, SCADA, historians, OPC, and IT/OT environments.
