Java Android Developer – Latin America

About the role

We are looking for a Java Android Developer to design, build, and maintain native Android applications for our Latin American market. You will work closely with product and backend teams to deliver high‑quality, performant mobile experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native Android apps using Java, following platform conventions.
• Create intuitive, accessible UI using Material Design, XML layouts or Jetpack Compose.
• Integrate RESTful APIs with Retrofit and OkHttp, handling errors, retries and offline scenarios.
• Manage local data persistence with Room, SQLite or SharedPreferences, including migrations.
• Implement push notifications, analytics and crash reporting via Firebase services (FCM, Analytics, Crashlytics).
• Write unit and instrumented tests using JUnit, Espresso and Mockito.
• Profile and optimise app performance focusing on battery usage, memory consumption and smooth UI rendering.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional native Android development in Java with published apps or equivalent projects.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio IDE and Gradle build system.
• Hands‑on experience with Jetpack libraries such as ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation and WorkManager.
• Proficiency integrating REST APIs using Retrofit and OkHttp.
• Experience with local data persistence (Room, SQLite) and Firebase services.
• Fluency in English and Russian.
