Staff Security Architect

About the role

Kraken is looking for a hands‑on Staff Security Architect to join Kraken Security Labs. You will work remotely with a small, highly technical team, providing deep security consulting across a wide range of products, from infrastructure and web3 to AI‑driven services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, review and verify robust security architecture in a heterogeneous environment.
• Conduct thorough security assessments and audits of existing architectures, recommending practical improvements.
• Stay current with blockchain and broader security trends, threats, and mitigation techniques.
• Provide expert guidance to blockchain and engineering teams to ensure secure operational practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an IT security expert with a strong background in application security.
• Hands‑on experience testing diverse applications and securing infrastructure.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP and NIST.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and comfort working in a fast‑paced, remote environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross‑team interaction.
