Android Engineer (Mobile, TV & Fire TV)

About the role

We are looking for an Android Engineer to develop and enhance the Haystack News application across Android Mobile, Android TV, and Fire TV platforms. You will join a fast‑growing Silicon Valley startup and work directly with the founding team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship new features for the Haystack News app on mobile and TV devices.
• Apply the latest Android development trends, including Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Refactor existing code using Clean Architecture to improve maintainability and test coverage.
• Integrate backend APIs and collaborate with other developers to deliver a seamless user experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of professional experience developing Android applications.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work independently.
