Contract Administration Intern

About the role

Glencore Peru is looking for a motivated intern to join the commercial team in Lima. You will support the administration of purchase and sale contracts for mineral concentrates, gaining hands‑on experience in a global commodities environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of purchase and sale contracts for mineral concentrates.
• Communicate with suppliers, service providers and customers both in writing and verbally.
• Coordinate receipt and shipment of concentrates with suppliers and the warehouse.
• Work with surveyors and laboratories for inspection, sampling and assaying.
• Calculate concentrate values and help arrange payments together with accounting and finance.
• Enter data into the ERP system and produce periodic reports.
• Identify and propose process improvements to increase efficiency.

Required profile

• Advanced university student (8th‑10th semester) or recent graduate in International Trade, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent numerical ability and logical thinking.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience using ERP systems for data entry and reporting.
