About the role

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) / Financial Operations Analyst provides leadership with clear financial visibility, identifies opportunities for improved performance, and develops actionable recommendations to support business decisions. This role blends financial analysis, accounting oversight, cost optimisation, and operational improvement to turn data into measurable results.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and analyse the company profit & loss statements.
• Conduct ongoing audits and reviews of accounting records, expenses, vendors, subscriptions and other expenditures.
• Identify wasted, duplicate or inefficient spending and propose cost‑reduction actions.
• Perform budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and develop financial models to spot trends, risks and opportunities.
• Develop and monitor financial KPIs that give leadership meaningful performance visibility.
• Review and improve financial processes, controls and workflows for accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify automation opportunities for reporting and operational reviews.
• Create dashboards, reports and financial models to support data‑driven decision‑making.
• Collaborate across departments to investigate discrepancies and drive operational improvements.
• Provide weekly financial and operational reports to the CEO, summarising key findings, concerns and cost‑saving recommendations.
• Track approved initiatives to measure financial impact and ensure follow‑through.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Strong understanding of profit & loss statements and cost‑control principles.
• Ability to audit financial records, identify inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Experience developing and monitoring financial KPIs and dashboards.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on translating data into actionable business insights.
• Effective communication skills to present findings to senior leadership.
