Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees daily operations across accommodation, pool, public and crew areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Reporting to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Manager, the role provides strong leadership to a team of at least ten employees.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate housekeeping activities in accommodation, pool, public and crew zones.
• Supervise a team of minimum ten staff, ensuring adherence to cleaning schedules and standards.
• Monitor proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
• Conduct safety checks, job safety analyses, and enforce lifting and handling procedures.
• Maintain accurate records using company software and report performance metrics.
• Support the Housekeeping Manager in achieving division objectives and guest satisfaction targets.

Required profile

• At least one year of supervisory experience in a large 4‑ or 5‑star hotel (500+ rooms), cruise line or comparable hospitality environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of ten or more employees.
• Good knowledge of English; additional language such as Spanish is a plus.
• Understanding of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and safety procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience using hospitality software such as SQM, OCIMS, Fidelio, LGA, Medallia, and Kronos.
