In-House Engineer

About the role

The In-House Engineer will work on‑site at major mining operations, acting as the primary technical liaison between customers and FLS. You will help optimise equipment performance, support maintenance plans and drive adoption of FLS solutions across multiple business areas.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for customers, strengthening relationships across FLS business units.
• Coordinate Field Services Engineering, Professional Services, Sales and Global Specialists to deliver tailored technical solutions.
• Manage maintenance plans and spare‑parts requirements for FLS equipment, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
• Identify equipment replacement and consumables opportunities within existing installations to increase share of wallet.
• Provide strategic input for customer retention and growth plans.
• Collaborate with Solution Specialists to promote on‑site consumables offerings.
• Drive Service Business Line order intake through Field Services Engineering engagement.
• Develop, train and support Site Account Managers and Representatives.
• Communicate market price competitiveness and supply strategies with Global Service, Business Lines and Regional Sales.
• Work with Professional Services to deliver on‑site support and identify upgrade & retrofit opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in the mining industry in a similar engineering role.
• Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams and manage KPIs with functional leaders.
• Experience preparing technical and commercial proposals for mining projects.
• Strong passion for innovation and delivering measurable impact in a global mining environment.
• Experience working closely with both suppliers and customers.
