Junior Accountant – Entry Level Accounting Role

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. The role offers exposure to the full accounting cycle, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process daily financial transactions accurately and promptly.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice preparation and payment processing.
• Perform bank, credit‑card and account reconciliations.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing procedures and journal‑entry preparation.
• Prepare financial reports, account summaries and spreadsheets as required.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Assist with audits by gathering and organizing documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, accounts payable or accounts receivable.
• Degree, diploma or relevant coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, meet accounting deadlines and handle confidential information.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with accounting software, ERP or financial management platforms.
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and general‑ledger processes.
