Junior Software Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Software Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of core banking applications. The role involves working with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, high‑performance solutions that support essential banking operations.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, and evolution of core banking applications that underpin key business processes.
• Perform corrective, adaptive, and evolutionary maintenance on mission‑critical systems with strict high‑availability requirements.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents to minimise impact on banking activities.
• Support functional, integration, and certification testing to ensure application stability before release.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software development or a related field.
• Strong written and spoken proficiency in English and Spanish (B2 level or higher).

Required skills

• Application development using COBOL on IBM z/OS.
• Batch processing programming with JCL.
• Transactional application development with CICS.
• Database handling and query execution using IBM Db2 and SQL.
