About the role

As a Python Backend Engineer at BairesDev, you will create and maintain high‑performance backend services that power complex applications used worldwide. You will work remotely with a global team of top‑tier engineers, delivering scalable APIs and robust data integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Python.
• Implement and optimise web applications with frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Design and manage relational database schemas and integrations, primarily with PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define architectural standards and feature requirements.
• Ensure performance, security, and reliability of backend systems through rigorous testing and optimisation.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Python backend development.
• Proven expertise in building scalable backend services and APIs.
• Proficiency with Python web frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask).
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL database integration and management.
• Strong background in software engineering best practices, including code optimisation and API design.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
