Senior Controller – Consumer Industry

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a hands‑on Senior Controller to lead its consumer‑industry accounting portfolio. You will act as a technical accountant, people leader, and strategic partner for a fast‑growing back‑office solutions provider.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle and drive month‑end/quarter‑end close processes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Design and implement AI‑driven automation initiatives to streamline workflows.
• Serve as the primary accounting contact for consumer‑industry clients, presenting financial results and building relationships.
• Oversee accounting operations across the consumer portfolio, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

Required profile

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including controller or senior accounting leadership roles.
• Deep knowledge of the consumer sector (CPG, retail, or related).
• Proven track record of implementing accounting automations or AI‑based process improvements.
• Strong client‑facing and communication abilities.
