Senior Software Engineer - Workflow

About the role

Cloudbeds is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Workflow Squad. You will design, build, and operate backend services that enable complex hospitality operations across a global, AI‑first platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain customer‑facing backend services in PHP and Java.
• Build reliable APIs, data models, integrations, and event‑driven processes using PostgreSQL, Kafka, REST and gRPC.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery from technical design through production, ensuring scalability, resilience and security.
• Collaborate with product, design, infrastructure, security and other engineering teams to solve ambiguous problems.
• Implement observability, automated testing and release quality standards, and support production incidents.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily backend.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Experience delivering reliable, high‑performance services in a SaaS or hospitality‑tech context.
