Staff Software Architect (Lima)

About the role

Qualifacts is seeking a Staff Software Architect to lead the design and evolution of scalable, API‑driven and cloud‑hosted solutions that support its behavioral health SaaS platforms. The role works closely with development, engineering, and database teams to ensure technical decisions align with business goals and industry best practices. You will operate in a hybrid model, spending two days per week on‑site in Lima.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable software services, including RESTful APIs and AWS‑based cloud components.
• Apply architectural patterns and evaluate alternative solutions to meet functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, development, and DBA teams to translate designs into reliable implementations.
• Support integration strategies using messaging, event‑driven architectures, and service‑oriented concepts.
• Participate in project planning, balancing multiple initiatives and timelines.
• Communicate architectural recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Promote sound design practices and guide teams toward consistent execution approaches.
• Document designs and provide guidance to maintain alignment across teams.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, architecture trends, and industry standards.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Proven experience in software engineering and architecture with increasing responsibility for solution design.
• Strong understanding of API‑based solutions and service‑oriented architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across cross‑functional teams.
