Telecommunications Engineer – Mobile Device & Network Testing

About the role

Marquistech is looking for a Telecommunications Engineer to lead mobile device and network testing initiatives. The role focuses on pre‑launch and field validation of smartphones, Fixed Wireless Access routers and IoT devices across 5G, 4G LTE, VoLTE, VoWiFi and related technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑launch and field testing for mobile devices, performing stationary and mobility tests under varied network conditions.
• Analyze network KPIs such as coverage, throughput, call drop rate, handovers and VoNR‑MOS performance.
• Execute drive testing, log analysis and RF optimization for LTE/5G networks, including antenna tuning and interference analysis.
• Flash and verify firmware builds, debug registration, voice/data performance and UI issues on smartphones, tablets and IoT products.
• Utilize tools like JIRA, QXDM, QPST, Nemo Outdoor, Wireshark, NetAct and spectrum analyzers for bug tracking, log analysis and protocol validation.
• Prepare detailed test reports and provide troubleshooting support to R&D and vendor teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Wireless Communication or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mobile device testing, chipset validation and RF field work.
• Proven experience with 5G/4G LTE, VoLTE, VoWiFi and related network technologies.

• Testing tools: QXDM, QCAT, QPST, Nemo Outdoor, Nemo Analyzer, NetAct, Wireshark, spectrum analyzers.
• Software tools: DCAP, KPI Reporter, WebNei, Web Element Manager, network simulators.
• Protocol knowledge: LTE, 5G NR, SRVCC, CSFB, Inter‑RAT handovers, carrier aggregation.
• IP networking: IPv4, IPv6, SIM lock, PIN lock, security protocols.
• Issue tracking: JIRA.
