Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience through impeccable cleanliness and visual standards onboard. This role leads the housekeeping team to ensure premium service that is both memorable and consistent with Royal Caribbean’s brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own the overall cleanliness and visual impression of all guest areas, ensuring flawless execution of service standards.
• Maintain a positive work environment, communicate performance expectations, and provide regular feedback.
• Train, develop, and recognize supervisors and crew members, maintaining a strong floor presence.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and brand standards, including USPH and SQM guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and continuously improve guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years progressive housekeeping managerial experience, preferably in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and safety procedures.
• Understanding of talent assessment, quality service standards, and guest satisfaction metrics.
• Familiarity with human resources policies and practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience using industry software such as SQM, OCIMS, Fidelio, LGA, Medallia, and Kronos.
• Technical expertise in chemical handling and safety compliance.
• Knowledge of cleaning operations and equipment maintenance.
