Hydraulic Construction Project Engineer

About the role

The Hydraulic Construction Project Engineer will lead the planning, execution and delivery of water‑related infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Management Committee, you will ensure technical excellence, safety and environmental compliance while coordinating all project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, schedule, budget and organisational structure.
• Monitor physical and financial progress, update technical planning and implement corrective actions.
• Manage contractors, suppliers, authorities and local communities, and represent the project before the client.
• Handle contractual variations with significant impact and facilitate acquisition of licences and permits, especially environmental.
• Maintain an active on‑site presence, supervising daily activities to guarantee proper technical and operational execution.
• Lead the work team, assign responsibilities and ensure clear communication.
• Validate technical deliverables and enforce quality, safety and environmental standards.
• Report project progress to the Management Committee and follow its directives.
• Coordinate commissioning, formal handover, final reports and lessons learned.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil, Sanitary or Electromechanical Engineering.
• 10–20 years of experience in infrastructure project execution.
• At least 10 years of direct field experience managing water‑infrastructure construction projects.
• Proven ability to lead on‑site works and make technical decisions in situ.
• Strong leadership, proactive problem‑solving and team‑management skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of project management software.
