Software Engineer (Payments & Infrastructure)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to design and implement end‑to‑end payment experiences that are fast, secure and reliable. You will work across UI, backend, data science and infrastructure to enable friction‑less payments for merchants in Peru and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Develop UI/UX flows (1‑Click Pix, Tap‑to‑Pay, Click‑to‑Pay) using React inside the proprietary Presto framework.
• Write core payment business logic and API integrations in Haskell, applying functional programming principles at scale.
• Build data‑driven features such as intelligent traffic routing, anomaly detection and AI‑powered payment assistance using transaction data.
• Design, deploy and maintain 99.999 %‑available infrastructure, including multi‑DC architecture and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Create and evolve an infrastructure DSL for unified management and implement chaos‑engineering experiments to ensure system resilience.

• Comfortable working in a bilingual environment (English and Spanish).
