Accountant – Remote (Peru)

About the role

Blue Polaris is seeking a dependable, detail‑oriented Accountant to support its Peru operations. This remote, full‑time role focuses on day‑to‑day bookkeeping, transaction management, reconciliations, and financial reporting while collaborating closely with the Finance Manager and the broader finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain financial transactions using double‑entry bookkeeping principles.
• Enter, categorize, and reconcile transactions in QuickBooks and Zoho Books.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Use Microsoft Excel to analyze data, prepare schedules, and support accounting processes.
• Assist in preparing accrual‑basis and cash‑basis income statements and other financial reports.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Collaborate with management to continuously improve accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of double‑entry bookkeeping and international accounting principles.
• Minimum two years of hands‑on experience with QuickBooks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Experience performing bank reconciliations and preparing financial statements.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and organizational skills.
• Fluent English for business conversations (calls, emails, meetings).
• Ability to work independently and manage workload without close supervision.
