B2 EASA Base Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The B2 EASA Base Maintenance Engineer will act as the certifying staff for all maintenance activities within our client’s organization in Switzerland. You will ensure that both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on fixed‑wing aircraft is performed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with EASA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the certifying staff for all maintenance tasks and sign off on work orders.
• Oversee the execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, reviewing operational work orders for accuracy.
• Provide technical guidance, diagnose aircraft faults, and implement corrective actions.
• Document all maintenance actions precisely and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with component repair, engineering, and airworthiness departments to resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Support aircraft recovery operations and assist customers during AOG (Aircraft on Ground) events when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in base maintenance on fixed‑wing aircraft.
• Holder of an EASA Part‑66 Category B licence.
• Extensive experience (22 + years) as certifying staff on type‑certified aircraft.
• Working knowledge of Part‑145 MRO environments and Part‑21 PO processes.
• Fluent English communication skills.
