Chief Engineer – Tug Operations

About the role
Svitzer Perú is looking for a Chief Engineer to lead the technical management of its tug operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the tug’s machinery is well‑maintained and that operations run safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on all tug equipment.
- Supervise the onboard engineering team and coordinate their activities.
- Prepare and manage technical and operational reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
- Control the use of machinery, equipment and technical resources.
Required profile
- STCW III/2 certification.
- Proven experience on tugs or similar vessels.
- Valid OMI (IMO) licence and relevant courses.
