DevOps / SRE / DevSecOps Engineer (AWS) - Remote, Latin America

About the role

Bluelight is seeking an experienced DevOps/SRE/DevSecOps Engineer to join its fast‑growing, fully remote team serving clients across the United States and Latin America. You will work on high‑impact projects, designing, building and operating secure, scalable cloud solutions on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain AWS infrastructure (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3).
• Operate Aurora/PostgreSQL clusters in production, handling multi‑AZ failover, read replicas and replica‑lag monitoring.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Create and manage containerized workloads with Docker and ECS/Fargate.
• Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines with automated deployment and rollback procedures.
• Implement monitoring, logging and observability using OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch or similar tools.
• Conduct load testing (k6) and ensure services meet latency SLOs and error‑budget targets.
• Lead security initiatives: vulnerability scanning, secrets management, compliance hardening, and support SOC 2 audits.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, incident response and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE or DevSecOps roles.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Extreme ownership, accountability and client‑focused dedication.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3).
• PostgreSQL/Aurora administration.
• Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Docker and container orchestration.
• CI/CD pipeline development.
• OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch or comparable observability tools.
• k6 or similar load‑testing tools.
• Vulnerability scanning, secrets management, SOC 2 compliance.
• Incident response and on‑call experience.
