Director, Credit Portfolio Manager

About the role

Patria is seeking a senior professional to lead the identification, origination, structuring and execution of credit investment opportunities in the Peruvian market. The role will oversee both local‑currency and USD private‑debt strategies, acting as the primary steward of Patria’s credit platform in Peru.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the sourcing, structuring and execution of credit investments across Peruvian fixed‑income markets.
• Coordinate closely with Patria’s regional credit teams to ensure seamless origination and execution.
• Manage the portfolio of Peruvian credit strategies, adapting the platform to local market conditions and investor needs.
• Direct the investment due‑diligence process, engaging local advisors, regulators and authorities as required.
• Partner with compliance to design and enforce robust risk‑management frameworks.
• Work with commercial, legal and fund‑services teams to develop credit funds and investment vehicles in Peru.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan for the local credit platform, aligned with Patria’s broader objectives.
• Represent Patria’s credit platform in roadshows, client events and with key stakeholders such as regulators and the entrepreneurial community.
• Build and lead a high‑performing local team as needed.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of the Peruvian corporate credit market, its participants, industry dynamics and economic groups.
• Extensive network and strong reputation within the local financial community.
• Proven ability to lead portfolio management and drive strategic initiatives.
• Experience working with compliance, legal and fund‑services functions to mitigate investment and regulatory risks.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to represent Patria with external stakeholders.
