About the role

The Early Childhood Classroom Teacher creates a flexible, nurturing environment for learners aged 3‑5, fostering both academic and personal growth. This role involves building strong relationships with students, parents, and staff while delivering responsive, standards‑based instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement lesson plans that address diverse learning needs and language proficiencies.
• Assess student progress regularly and adapt instruction using formative assessment strategies.
• Collaborate with grade‑level teams and specialist teachers to plan units, design assessments, and analyze learning evidence.
• Lead reading and writing workshops and apply best‑practice pedagogies.
• Utilize educational standards to guide instruction and ensure curriculum alignment.
• Maintain a positive classroom community through class meetings and constructive discipline approaches.

Required profile

• BA or MA in Education with certification as an early childhood or elementary teacher.
• Current teacher certification (Peruvian licenciatura for local hires) and proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to reflect on practice and commit to continuous improvement.
• Experience working with early childhood learners (preferred) and strong knowledge of pre‑literacy, language development, and numeracy.
• Ability to differentiate instruction, integrate technology, and work in a fast‑paced, collaborative international community.
