Financial Planning Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Planning Lead to support the preparation, analysis and reporting of financial information for HermanMiller. The role will help improve finance and operations controls and ensure timely, high‑quality reporting to the corporation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the monthly financial close, reviewing P&L and balance‑sheet account balances.
• Prepare month‑end finance reports and conduct variance analysis versus plan and prior year.
• Reconcile account balances and improve data sources.
• Participate in developing and updating accounting and operational policies, including process and system changes.
• Assist in the annual budgeting process.
• Liaise with internal finance, commercial, operations and business risk teams, as well as external auditors and tax advisors.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 3 years of financial planning or accounting experience in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards (NIF).
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Ability to meet deadlines while delivering accurate information.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP functionalities.
• Knowledge of IFRS and local NIF.
• Financial planning, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Month‑end close and account reconciliation.
