International Compensation Manager

About the role

The International Compensation Manager will lead the design, analysis, implementation and administration of compensation programs for Conservation International’s workforce outside the United States. Based in one of the listed locations, the role works closely with HR, Finance and regional leaders to ensure pay practices are competitive, equitable and aligned with the organization’s strategy and local market conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct global market benchmarking and job pricing across multiple regions, including emerging markets.
• Partner with external salary survey providers and analyze compensation trends, inflation, currency fluctuations and labor‑market developments.
• Develop and maintain salary structures, pay ranges and job grading frameworks for each country.
• Support annual compensation review processes, including salary increases, promotions and market/equity adjustments.
• Ensure compensation decisions comply with internal equity, market positioning and budget parameters.
• Maintain compensation policies, documentation and governance to support audit readiness.
• Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, planning and workforce‑related analysis.
• Provide guidance on compensation‑related issues and recommend appropriate pay solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in compensation, total rewards or related HR analytics in a global or multi‑country environment.
• Strong understanding of compensation principles, market benchmarking and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and influence senior leaders.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
