About the role
ALS is looking for an IT assistant in Arequipa to provide infrastructure-level support and install and configure software that fits the organisation's needs, improving internal processes in Peru and, if required, in other ALS offices in Latin America. The role includes helpdesk support, server and datacentre management, user administration and computer maintenance.
Key responsibilities
- Provide inside and remote helpdesk support.
- Ensure servers run properly and that the data centre meets the conditions needed for its operation.
- Make sure the file server backup works correctly.
- Manage the active directory, creating, adding and removing users as needed.
- Define and set up computer prototypes to meet user requirements.
- Perform corrective maintenance and diagnose computers so they can be replaced.
- Maintain computers connected directly to instruments and schedule preventive maintenance for rented equipment.
Required profile
- Citizen or permanent resident of the country of application, or able to obtain a valid working visa.
- Ability to apply online with a resume and cover letter.
