Junior IT Systems Engineer (Lima Office)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior IT Systems Engineer to support our Lima office, ensuring that all IT equipment, servers and network infrastructure run smoothly and stay connected with our Asia headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 support for laptops, desktops, printers and other office equipment.
• Install, configure and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and onboarding/off‑boarding processes.
• Maintain routers, switches, Wi‑Fi, VPN and Internet connectivity.
• Install, troubleshoot and monitor physical servers and related hardware.
• Ensure reliable connectivity between the Peru office and the Asia headquarters for remote administration.
• Monitor system health, backups and basic security practices.
• Document infrastructure, network configurations and IT procedures.
• Coordinate with international engineering teams to resolve infrastructure issues.

Required profile

• Advanced spoken and written English.
• Bachelor’s degree or technical studies in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, IT or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration or networking.
• Based in Lima, Peru and able to work onsite.

Required skills

• Windows and Linux administration.
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Wi‑Fi).
• Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace.
• Physical server and network equipment handling.
• Basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, Proxmox).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) – nice to have.
