Junior Port Planner

About the role

As a Junior Port Planner you will join a global maritime consultancy and work alongside leading experts on complex port and terminal projects worldwide. The role offers exposure to a variety of sectors and commodities, from containers to bulk cargo, and combines civil‑engineering thinking with multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop master‑planning and feasibility studies for international port and terminal clients, including government agencies and commercial operators.
• Plan projects of varying size and complexity across multiple phases and levels of detail, ensuring continuous follow‑up.
• Contribute to digitalisation and innovation of port planning tools, supporting Smart Ports, Green Ports and Navigation initiatives.
• Conduct client audits, surveys and workshops, and perform desktop research, data analysis and interpretation.
• Prepare high‑quality reports, presentations and proposals, and promote team work at industry events.

Required profile

• Strong ambition to develop professionally and learn new maritime planning techniques.
• Interest in civil‑engineering approaches to port design.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a global, multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to engage with clients and contribute to business development activities.
