Legal and Compliance Analyst

About the role

PayJoy is seeking a Legal and Compliance Analyst to support the implementation and execution of compliance controls across its operations in emerging markets. You will work closely with internal teams to interpret local regulations, draft contracts, and address routine legal queries, ensuring the company meets its regulatory obligations while advancing its mission.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret local regulations to mitigate non‑compliance risks.
• Prepare, review, and update contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Respond to routine legal and compliance inquiries from internal stakeholders.
• Assist in designing, implementing, and monitoring compliance initiatives aligned with corporate policies.
• Identify potential legal and regulatory risks and propose mitigation solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment on compliance and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law.
• Minimum 2 years of internship experience in legal (corporate lawyer) or compliance roles.
• Strong legal reasoning and analytical abilities.
• Experience with internal and external audits.
• Proven ethical record and ability to work with objective metrics.
