Legal Counsel – In‑house Corporate Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support across all business units in Peru and, when needed, other countries in the region. The role will involve advising on daily operations, managing legal documents, and supporting strategic projects such as M&A and financing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on daily operations and ensure compliance with Peruvian regulations.
• Handle corporate matters, including company incorporations and AGM organization.
• Draft, review, and modify contracts with financial entities, clients, and suppliers.
• Manage regulatory compliance, procedural matters, dispute resolution, labor, administrative, real estate, intellectual property, insurance, and customs issues.
• Support special projects such as mergers and acquisitions, developments, and financings.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal risks; maintain a legal risk matrix.
• Create and maintain document management systems and legal files.
• Coordinate and review work performed by external legal counsel.

Required profile

• Law degree from Peru; postgraduate studies in corporate/commercial law are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within industrial, logistics, or law‑firm environments.
• Proven experience in business legal advice, preferably in warehousing and transportation services.
• Strong knowledge of corporate, contractual, regulatory, labor, administrative, real estate, customs, and insurance law.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
