Maintenance Worker II – In‑House Facility Maintenance

About the role

The Maintenance Worker II is responsible for keeping facilities safe, functional, and comfortable. Working on‑site, the role focuses on preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and supporting other staff to complete work orders efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect electrical, HVAC, plumbing, security, and other systems to identify repairs and schedule preventive maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies such as roof leaks, damaged equipment, or safety hazards.
• Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment across multiple trades.
• Coordinate with staff, supervise assigned maintenance support personnel, and ensure work is completed safely and on time.
• Prepare documentation, procure supplies, and request quotations for materials and services.
• Transport tools, equipment, and supplies to job sites as needed.

Required profile

• Journeyman‑level experience in one or more building trades (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.).
• Ability to work independently, stand for long periods, and prioritize tasks.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to follow technical instructions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Reading and interpreting plans, blueprints, and schematics.
• Basic math for measurements and calculations.
• Knowledge of cleaning agents, chemicals, and safe equipment use.
• Familiarity with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, security, carpentry, painting, locksmithing, and welding systems.
