Medical Project Coordinator

About the role

The Medical Project Coordinator will support drug safety operations within clinical trials, ensuring regulatory compliance and patient safety. This role combines data review, trend analysis, and coordination with study teams to maintain high‑quality safety oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and review safety data using line listings, dashboards and other visualization tools.
• Analyze safety trends, coding consistency and identify potential issues for follow‑up with investigators.
• Prepare summaries for safety review meetings and contribute to aggregate safety reports.
• Assist in creating and reviewing safety and medical management plans to align with contractual requirements.
• Monitor project implementation, forecast needs, track metrics and budget considerations.
• Escalate delays or risks to stakeholders and present findings at business development or client meetings.
• Serve as primary contact for clinical and data‑management project teams and support training/mentoring activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health sciences, Physician Assistant program, or a licensed RN.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical safety experience, including clinical research monitoring and/or pharmacovigilance.
• Strong problem‑solving, critical‑thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain professionalism under pressure.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) for medical oversight and SAE processing.
• Understanding of drug development and safety reporting processes.
• Experience with safety data trending and coding.
• Working knowledge of biostatistics, data management and clinical procedures.
