Network Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Network Engineer to operate, secure, monitor, and continuously improve our terminal network infrastructure across IT and Operational Technology environments. Based on‑site in Callao, Lima, you will ensure reliable connectivity for 24/7 terminal operations while supporting cybersecurity and modernization initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and support enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, internet connectivity, remote access and network services in both IT and OT environments.
• Monitor network health, performance and capacity, troubleshoot routing, switching, wireless, firewall, DNS/DHCP, latency and packet‑loss issues.
• Execute cybersecurity controls such as firewall administration, network segmentation, secure remote access and vulnerability remediation.
• Lead network‑related projects from design through implementation, testing, documentation and handover.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, inventories, IP address management records and configurations.
• Drive root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce recurring incidents.

Required profile

• At least five years of hands‑on experience supporting enterprise networking environments, preferably 24/7 or business‑critical operations.
• Strong continuous‑improvement mindset with structured problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication in English and ability to collaborate with international stakeholders.
• Accountability, initiative and willingness to work hands‑on in operational and field environments.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, WAN technologies, wireless networking, DNS, DHCP, NAT and redundancy.
• Practical experience with Cisco (or equivalent) platforms and firewall solutions such as Fortinet, Check Point or Cisco Firepower.
• Proficiency with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Zabbix or Wireshark.
• CCNP‑level certification or equivalent networking expertise; additional security, cloud or ITIL certifications are a plus.
