Process Engineer – Industrial Optimization & Digital Transformation

About the role

The company is an industrial technology firm developing AI‑powered software for real‑time production optimization. The Process Engineer will lead on‑site deployment of this software across manufacturing plants in the Americas, acting as the bridge between plant operations and internal engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Execute on‑site implementation, commissioning, testing, and start‑up activities at customer manufacturing plants.
• Validate industrial connectivity, communications, signals and data availability required for software deployment.
• Support configuration reviews, operational validation and implementation of optimization solutions.
• Serve as the technical liaison between plant operations and internal Engineering, Data Science, and Project Delivery teams.
• Gather operational requirements, identify technical constraints and translate plant needs into actionable implementation plans.
• Coordinate functional and technical testing with automation, maintenance, IT/OT, and engineering teams.
• Document implementation progress, configuration changes, technical issues and project milestones.
• Collect operational data, logs and feedback to support troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to manage risks and ensure successful delivery.
• Provide customer training during solution rollout and facilitate knowledge transfer to maintenance and customer success teams.

Required profile

• Degree (or equivalent) in Industrial, Automation, Mechanical, Chemical, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience delivering industrial technology, automation, commissioning, start‑up or implementation projects within manufacturing environments.
• Hands‑on experience working directly on industrial plant sites throughout project implementation and commissioning phases.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation, control systems, instrumentation, SCADA, historians, OPC, industrial communications and IT/OT environments.
