Project Engineer – Wind

About the role

Statkraft is looking for a Project Engineer specialized in wind energy to lead all technical aspects of wind turbine projects across the full lifecycle. You will work on a portfolio of LATAM projects, primarily in Peru, and support initiatives in Chile and Brazil, ensuring technical integrity, compliance and risk control from feasibility to hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Lead wind turbine technical topics from early feasibility through execution, commissioning and hand‑over.
• Manage supply and electromechanical subcontractors, including contract conditions, inspection and test plans, FAT and SAT activities, and corrective action tracking.
• Develop and coordinate technical interfaces between turbine suppliers, Balance‑of‑Plant contractors, grid operators, owners’ engineering, designers, construction and commissioning teams.
• Support RFP processes: prepare technical specifications, evaluate proposals, draft contract appendices and provide technical input during commercial negotiations.
• Validate technical documents for development and pipeline projects, support governance gates and ensure readiness before execution.
• Oversee turbine quality and performance, approve Mechanical Completion, Commissioning Completion, trial documentation and verify contractual availability requirements.
• Supervise execution, testing and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with standards, supplier obligations and project safety.

Required profile

• Proven experience in wind turbine project engineering covering the full project lifecycle.
• Strong background in managing electromechanical subcontractors and technical contracts.
• Ability to handle complex technical interfaces and integration across multiple disciplines.
• Experience with RFP preparation, technical evaluation and contract negotiations.
• Solid knowledge of turbine quality, performance verification and commissioning processes.
• Willingness to work on projects in Peru, Chile and Brazil.
