Senior Frontend Software Engineer - Next.js

About the role

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer at Makai Labs. The Senior Frontend Software Engineer will be responsible for front‑end web development. They will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions that enhance user experiences and drive business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new user‑facing features.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Collaborate with back‑end developers and web designers to improve usability.
• Write robust, clean, and documented code.
• Maintain and enhance existing web applications.
• Conduct performance tests and ensure responsiveness and stability across all platforms.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in web development, with at least 3 years using Next.js.
• Solid experience working from a fully remote position.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, with strong written and verbal English.
• High degree of autonomy, accountability, and follow‑through.
• Ability to self‑manage and drive work towards consistent excellence.
