Senior Java Developer – Advanced English

About the role

PCI Energy Solutions is looking for a Senior Java Developer with advanced English to join its Lima office. The role focuses on building high‑performance, scalable backend services for the energy‑trading platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based microservices using Spring.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce best coding practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align technical implementation with business goals.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance and scalability issues in production.
• Implement and maintain continuous integration pipelines and automated testing.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements to development processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience with Java and Spring.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment and monitoring.
• Practical knowledge of Data Lake/Lakehouse technologies such as Apache Iceberg, Snowflake or Databricks.
• Experience building data‑observability solutions and using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk or ELK Stack.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and micro‑service architectures.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Advanced English communication skills and ability to work on‑site Tuesday‑Thursday.
