Senior Java Software Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specialized in Java to join our remote team at Coforge. The role focuses on building and maintaining robust backend services and infrastructure for enterprise‑scale applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and infrastructure solutions using Java.
• Work on internal backend frameworks to ensure scalability and platform reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to implement maintainable architectures, integrations, and performance improvements.
• Contribute to technical problem‑solving, continuous improvement, and engineering best practices across backend systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering or Java development.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
