Senior Manager, Accounting

About the role

adidas is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting to lead core accounting operations in Panama. The role combines technical accounting expertise with people leadership, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all accounting operations, guaranteeing accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Partner with Finance, Tax, Audit, and Business teams to support business objectives.
• Ensure robust internal controls and facilitate internal and external audits.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, systems, and ways of working.
• Coach, develop, and inspire a diverse accounting team, fostering collaboration, inclusion, and accountability.

Required profile

• Solid experience in accounting, financial reporting, or controllership roles.
• Proven leadership experience with people management and team development.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, international environment.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
