Senior Medical Project Coordinator

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Medical Project Coordinator to lead and oversee medical projects supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients. The role ensures alignment with internal processes, regulatory compliance, and optimal performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate and evaluate medical projects across one or more programs, ensuring consistency and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Conduct first‑pass safety data reviews using linelistings, dashboards and visualization tools, identifying trends, coding issues and potential follow‑up actions.
• Prepare safety summaries for review meetings and contribute to aggregate report sections.
• Serve as Project Lead for medical monitoring services when SAE case processing is not contracted.
• Maintain medical management plans, monitor financial status, forecast units, and track actual realization.
• Identify and escalate financial or operational risks, determine out‑of‑scope effort and support contract modifications.
• Act as primary contact for clinical project teams, lead alliance‑level studies, and represent studies in risk‑management meetings.
• Present at business development, client and investigator meetings and participate in strategy calls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
• Proven experience in medical project coordination or clinical research monitoring.
• Strong understanding of safety data review, SAE processing and medical monitoring services.
• Experience managing project financials, forecasting and risk escalation.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
