Senior Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Manager leads domestic, regional and global projects in drug development and clinical trial execution. Reporting to a Project Director as needed, the role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget and quality standards while meeting client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Accountable for operational delivery, managing scope, schedule, cost and quality.
• Serve as primary client contact, building strong relationships and driving repeat business.
• Lead core and extended project teams, coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve conflicts, escalating issues when required.
• Manage project budgets, cost assumptions and financial performance.
• Control change management processes and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
• Lead quality control and risk assurance activities to meet regulatory, company and client requirements.
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators and project metrics.
• Define resource needs, succession plans and mentor team members.
• Support business development by preparing and delivering new‑business presentations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager in drug development or clinical trial environments.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and clinical research SOPs.
• Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, cost and quality across complex projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Ability to proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
