Software Engineer – Technical Specialist

About the role

Kyndryl is looking for a Software Engineer – Technical Specialist to join its software engineering team. You will work on cutting‑edge products across domains such as security, systems, databases, and networking, providing technical leadership and guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and evolve highly scalable, distributed software solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product managers, and partner teams throughout the agile development lifecycle.
• Groom features and user stories, estimate effort, identify technical risks, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Maintain and reduce technical debt, address vulnerabilities, and keep third‑party components up‑to‑date.
• Coach and mentor engineers on building highly available, secure, and scalable systems.

Required profile

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to customers and team members.
• Proven problem‑solving ability, capable of framing issues, gathering information, and making timely decisions.
• Leadership mindset with experience guiding technical teams and influencing product direction.
