Solution Architect – Banking & Financial Services

About the role

Huawei Technologies is looking for an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of modern banking solutions in Lima, Peru. The role focuses on core‑banking modernization, cloud and hybrid‑cloud architectures, and supporting digital transformation initiatives for financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure, and modern architectures for banking applications, including core‑banking platforms.
• Lead core‑banking modernization and integration with legacy and surrounding systems.
• Develop cloud and hybrid‑cloud solutions that meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Conduct technical workshops and present solutions to both technical and executive audiences.
• Establish architecture standards, ensuring security, high availability, disaster recovery, and compliance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in banking, FinTech, or financial consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Electronics, Systems, Telecom Engineering or related field.
• Advanced English proficiency and bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
• Proven ability to work with multicultural and international teams.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of core‑banking processes and platforms.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Design and implementation of microservices, APIs, containers and Kubernetes.
• Hybrid‑cloud architecture and integration expertise.
