About the role
Svitzer Perú is seeking an experienced Captain to command a tugboat in its Peruvian operations. You will be responsible for safe and efficient vessel handling while leading the onboard crew.
Key responsibilities
- Command the tugboat and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
- Supervise and coordinate the crew’s daily activities.
- Plan and execute towing and maneuvering operations.
- Maintain accurate operational reports and logs.
- Coordinate resources and support with shore‑based teams.
Required profile
- Valid Captain or First Officer Bridge (Rule II/2) certificate.
- Current STCW certification.
- Valid seafarer’s book (Libreta de embarque).
- Proven experience operating tugboats, preferably ASD‑type.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a crew.
