Accounting Officer

About the role

Vivant, a fast‑growing U.S. managed services provider, is expanding its remote team across Latin America. We are looking for a proactive Accounting Officer who will support billing, collections, accounts payable and financial reporting for our multi‑location clients.

Key responsibilities

• Handle accounting‑related email and phone inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Review projects, tickets and work orders to ensure accurate billing of completed services.
• Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue balances and enforce company credit policies.
• Process vendor invoices, coordinate payment inquiries and ensure timely payments.
• Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger and perform regular account reconciliations.
• Conduct periodic audits to verify billing accuracy and uphold financial integrity.
• Create and maintain SOPs, process documentation and training materials.
• Identify automation opportunities to strengthen internal controls and improve efficiency.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities and support ad‑hoc financial reporting projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in accounting, billing, accounts receivable/payable or finance.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
• Experience supporting U.S. or international companies is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with distributed teams.
