Analyst Finance

About the role

Newmont Peru is seeking a Finance Analyst to support its regional operations. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, month‑end close, and investment valuation within a mining environment, helping the business make data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the annual budget and quarterly/monthly forecasts using inputs from multiple functions.
• Support month‑end close activities, including cost and capital analysis.
• Maintain and update the Investment Valuation Management system and conduct project feasibility analyses.
• Prepare Excel‑based reports and PowerPoint presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Manage business‑unit risks, trust administration for project closures, and other ad‑hoc reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Hands‑on experience with month‑end close and financial reporting.
• Strong background in financial analysis, performance tracking, and capital management.
• Previous experience in the mining industry or a comparable industrial setting is preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial management software.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
