Credit Manager – Policy

About the role

Revolut’s Credit team builds and scales lending features that support global growth. As a Credit Manager (Policy), you will design and maintain credit risk policies, procedures, and strategies for retail lending products, ensuring robust underwriting and proactive risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop account‑level valuation and credit underwriting policies using NPV frameworks to enhance portfolio economic returns.
• Make data‑driven decisions with a focus on marginal analysis, managing credit limits, risk‑based pricing, retention strategies, and over‑limit policies.
• Adjust risk‑return requirements and portfolio returns as new data emerges.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and planning from concept to delivery.
• Track, communicate, and derive insights from performance metrics while monitoring credit KPIs.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and lead small‑scale change initiatives within the Credit team.
• Ensure first‑line credit risk receives approval and strong ratings from second‑line, third‑line, and regulators.

Required profile

• Proven track record managing the risk cycle for retail credit products such as credit cards or unsecured personal loans.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., engineering, statistics, physics, maths, economics, or management) from a top university.
• Solid understanding of credit policy governance frameworks and ability to work through 2nd/3rd line of defence.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results that exceed expectations and to anticipate and resolve issues proactively.

Required skills

• Experience with credit policy design and governance.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills for valuation and risk modeling.
• Knowledge of risk‑based pricing, credit limits, and portfolio management.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and internal audit processes.
